Intelligent Arabic letters speech recognition system based on mel frequency cepstral coefficients

<span lang="EN-US">Speech recognition is one of the important applications artificial intelligence (AI). Speech aims to recognize spoken words regardless who speaking them. The process voice involves extracting meaningful features from and then classifying these into their classes. This paper presents a neural network classification system for Arabic letters. will study effect changing multi-layer perceptron (MLP) (ANN) properties obtain an optimized performance. proposed consists two main stages; first, recorded letters are transformed time domain frequency using fast Fourier transform (FFT), extracted mel cepstral coefficients (MFCC). Second, classified MLP ANN with back-propagation (BP) learning algorithm. obtained results show that along can classify hidden layers accuracy around 86%.</span>
